Principal's Message

Welcome to Badger Springs Middle School, Home of the Badgers!

The 2016-2017 school year is going to be great!  As a staff we are determined to provide high quality instruction to all students and provide all parents with the highest level of educational support possible. Badger Spring’s students are among the best, brightest, and most talented in the district. We want to provide opportunities and encourage all students to develop their talents and interests but always remain focused on the primary goal of increased academic achievement. Whether you are a 6th, 7th or 8th grader, we want you to be determined to achieve greatness this year! Only by obtaining your education will you truly be free to make your own choices in life. As your principal, I expect each student give their very best effort to be successful in all their classes and take advantage of opportunities to receive extra help and support.  Your success is important to me, your teachers, counselors, and your parents, but it must be most important to you too.  So work hard, do your best, and have a great year!

I also want to express my interest in working with parents and our community partners to make your experience at Badger Springs Middle School positive, fun, and worthwhile. James Comer states that “no significant learning can occur without a significant relationship.”  There are many wonderful adults on campus that are here to serve as leaders, mentors, and positive role models to all students.  However, I believe parents, guardians and family members have the greatest impact on learning and achievement.  I believe that each student has the power within themselves to have great success but they need support and positive encouragement along the way. I urge all parents to maintain a prominent and active role in the education of your child. Your middle school student still needs you! Parent participation and involvement is paramount to student success in middle school. Please spend time daily talking with your children about their experiences at school and asking them what they have learned. Communicate with administration, counselors, and teachers often and visit the school and classrooms regularly. Many exciting and valuable experience await us in this year.  As we work together we will achieve greatness!

I am proud to be a Badger!
