ABOUT OUR SCHOOL
Badger Springs Middle School, built in 1989, is a Grade 6 through 8 school with over 1,000 students, 55 teachers, 3 counselors, an SEL coach, and many more staff, as well as a Principal and two Assistant Principals. Badger Springs received the Schools to Watch designation in April of 2019 and was re-designated in 2022. We are the recipient of The Gold Ribbon (for outstanding school-community partnerships). We believe it is important for our Badger Springs community (which includes our staff, students, family, and community partnerships) to work together toward fulfilling our goals.
At Badger Springs, our mission is to provide high quality instruction for all students that prepares them to be academically and socially successful high school graduates that are college and career ready.
Our students' social emotional learning is a top priority at Badger Springs. Behavioral expectations are implemented, monitored, and evaluated following the “Positive Behavior Intervention and Support” (PBIS) research-based process. Badger Springs' school-wide PBIS Rewards Program works to incentivize students' good choices and behavior with a point system where students can shop an online student store for prizes.
STEAM
Badger Springs is proud to be a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics) Pathway school. The STEAM pathway provides students with opportunities for inquiry based learning and rich academic conversations that prepare our students to be 21st century learners.
Teachers are encouraged to use these STEAM Labs as catalysts that inspire future STEAM lessons that they plan within their own classrooms.
